B Vitamins

A class of eight different nutrients, B vitamins are water-soluble, meaning they must be replenished daily through diet and/or supplementation. The various B vitamins offer support for many different areas of health; for example, B9 (folic acid) may promote brain function and DNA replication, while B12 may support energy production and central nervous system function. 

Food sources of B vitamins include meat, beans, whole grains and nutritional yeast. Supplementation of B vitamins (especially B12) is often recommended for older individuals, elite athletes and vegans.
